					<description>I agree that hybrids are an important technology and useful as a part of a tapestry of change.  I also agree that radical analysis must include practical suggestions, too.  I'll have those in the book I'm working on.  What we need most is a genuine democratic debate over our transportation system.  That something that's never existed before, of course.  Also, did you notice that the US automakers have now demoted hybrids in favor of E85?  They're simply unwilling to accept that doom is upon them, one way or another.  &quot;Small cars, small profits&quot; is still their central concern.</description>
